The Explorer’s Garden Camellia Cushion

Camellias always feel a little dramatic to us - glossy leaves, sculptural petals, those early spring blooms in sheltered Cornish gardens.

This one was drawn for us by Heidi Ball, who has been illustrating for Cream Cornwall since 2012. She sketches every petal, butterfly and tiny insect by hand in pen. From there, we shape the layout together and build the blue palette ourselves. The colour starts soft and powdery, then deepens into inkier shades through the shadows, which gives the whole design weight and balance.

You can buy the complete cushion with a duck feather inner or if you already have the cushion pad, you can just buy the cover, just choose the option you would like.
